I make this Jello fluff salad every year, and every year I eat it all and have to make it again last minute. Apparently, almost everyone loves a great fluff recipe, even if they don’t know it right away. I used to live for my family’s 4th of July Luau each year, because someone was going to bring the fluff.

I almost always use red gelatin and blueberries, along with my marshmallows and whipped cream. This year, I was approached by Paradise Fruit Company, and offered sugared fruits to try in my recipes. In the case they sent, I got some candied cherries. I love cherries in just about everything, so I was ecstatic to try a new way to make this salad.
I started out by making the gelatin to package specifications. Then I had to wait while it set. Because this is such an easy recipe, there’s almost no prep. You can slice the cherries if you want, but I don’t.

After the gelatin has set, you really just need to stir it a bit, add the cherries and whipped cream, and it takes on a whole delicious shape and texture of its own. Talk about kid-friendly recipes! It’s a lot of fun to make, the mess is low, and there’s no knives involved. As long as an adult makes the Jello, everything else should just come out in spades.
Let me know how much you love this dessert, and don’t forget to tag me in those instagrams. Instructions are in the recipe!
